All data is encrypted to a base level using military grade encryption and additional levels of encryption can be applied to the most sensitive data using dual interlaced encryption.   The encryption can be applied at different points in the process of transferring data and is scalable depending on the desired level of security and changing risk vectors.

To ensure that all data is correctly secured, the system can emulate multiple standard backup devices, allowing full device settings and control for most backup and archive solutions. Storage is configured with a mix of solid-state, rotating disc, and tape devices that can be flexibly tailored to meet customers’ needs in the most cost-effective way. Full utilization is made possible through soft provisioning, which allows changes to be made on-the-fly to handle changing business needs. To ensure the optimal use of the system, initial data transfers are written to solid-state devices. AI is then used to migrate this data – first to rotating disks, and then, if applicable, to long-term media such as tape. The rules engine determines where and how many copies of each type of data are stored on local or remote storage.

The system can easily emulate multiple standard backup devices to ensure appropriate device settings and control, guaranteeing seamless integration with existing systems and configurations, and avoiding the need for staff retraining. Additionally, many legacy devices can be emulated, and if necessary, bespoke solutions can be implemented for full integration across the corporate landscape.
